Beyond Bank Hires CBA Tech Leader Mark Angrish as CTO

Beyond Bank has appointed seasoned technology leader Mark Angrish as its new chief technology officer, with the role set to commence next month.

The appointment was announced via the bank’s official LinkedIn channel, highlighting Angrish’s extensive experience across financial services, telecommunications, and technology.

Angrish joins from Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), where he played a key role in modernising the bank’s internal customer relationship management platform, CommSee, and contributed to the development of its next iteration, CommSee 2.0. He previously served as CTO of CommSec and has also held roles at Telstra and ANZ Banking Group.

With more than 20 years of experience, including international stints in London and the United States, Angrish is recognised for building high-performing teams and driving operational efficiency. Beyond Bank noted that he brings a practical approach to leveraging data and AI to support its member-focused strategy.

The CTO position at Beyond Bank is newly created, following the departure of former CIO Stevie-Ann Dovico earlier this year. Dovico has since taken on the role of inaugural CTO at the Australian Financial Complaints Authority.
