PDI Technologies Launches PDIQ, an Embedded AI Foundation for the Convenience and Fuel Industry
PDI Technologies has announced the launch of PDIQ, a new embedded AI foundation designed to bring automation, insights, and intelligent decision-making directly into the company’s existing software ecosystem for the convenience retail and fuel industry.
PDIQ is built to integrate directly into the workflows and applications that customers already use, including ERP, POS, loyalty platforms, and other business systems. By embedding AI into these systems, PDIQ aims to automate routine work, coordinate workflows across different business solutions, and deliver personalised insights that help organisations improve operations and decision-making.
The platform uses existing company data and systems to power intelligent AI agents that can plan tasks, make recommendations, and take action, while still keeping users in control of decisions and approvals.
According to Jimmy Frangis, many businesses want to modernise their operations with AI but require strong governance and reliable performance. He said PDIQ is designed to bring AI directly into core business workflows to help customers achieve measurable operational improvements.
Key Features of PDIQ
PDIQ includes several core capabilities designed for enterprise operations:
- Built directly into existing PDI applications rather than added as a separate tool
- Provides insights through the MyPDI portal and supports AI agent development through PDIQ Agentic Studio
- Already tested internally across engineering, sales, and customer support teams
- Designed with governance controls, auditability, and human oversight
- Supports a flexible multi-model AI architecture for future scalability
- Automates routine tasks while allowing employees to focus on higher-value work
Before launching the platform to customers, PDI deployed PDIQ internally across multiple departments to test performance and real-world use cases. The company is now rolling out the platform through a phased beta program with selected customers.
Linnea Geiss said the company has built the platform based on decades of industry experience, supported by hundreds of AI engineers and hundreds of active AI agents already in use internally. She added that embedding AI directly into existing products provides a more practical and low-friction way for customers to start using AI.
PDIQ is currently in beta testing and will be showcased in a hands-on lab at the Connections Live 2026 event in August, where attendees will be able to see how the platform can transform business operations.
Deven Parekh said that companies leading in AI adoption will be those that embed AI into core operations while maintaining strong governance and measurable return on investment. He noted that PDIQ is designed to be scalable, responsible, and purpose-built for the convenience and fuel industry.
Industry-Focused AI Platform
PDIQ is specifically designed for the convenience retail, petroleum wholesale, and fuel ecosystem, where businesses rely heavily on integrated systems, logistics, and real-time operational data. By embedding AI into everyday workflows, PDI Technologies aims to help organisations automate operations, improve efficiency, and make faster, data-driven decisions.
The launch of PDIQ reflects a growing trend in enterprise technology where AI is no longer offered as a separate tool but is embedded directly into core business systems to deliver continuous value and operational intelligence.
